Tire Pressure

Tires support the full weight of your vehicle, which is why you should do everything you can to keep them in top shape. You can use a tire pressure gauge to easily check the pressure. You’ll want to do this every week when you perform routine UTV maintenance checks. Always make sure that you air up the tires to the manufacturer’s suggested psi level. You should also inspect the tires for bald spots, uneven wear, and embedded objects. If you find any problems, you’ll need to address them immediately.

Driveline

When you’re performing UTV maintenance, you should take the time to check he driveline. After all, if the driveline malfunctions, you won’t get very far on your vehicle as it’s responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels. Even if your engine is fine, it won’t make up for a driveline that’s not working properly. You can avoid potential issues by regularly inspecting your vehicle’s driveline. If you think there’s an issue, you may need to consult a professional for assistance.

Change the Oil

One of the best ways to take care of your vehicle is to keep up with routine oil changes. You can easily check the status of your oil in just a few minutes. Start by removing the dipstick, wiping it off, reinserting it, and removing it again for a clear reading. Check the color of the oil on the dipstick. If it’s unusually thick, sludgy, or opaque, you’ll want to change your oil. You should also be looking at where the oil falls on the dipstick. If the oil level is low, you’ll need to top it off.
